What instruments can you chose? The New Horizons Band is a concert band that offers you the opportunity to play a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument. This includes flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba, xylophone, drums and many other percussion instruments,
Don't have an instrument? Rentals are available from local music stores such as Long and McQuade.
Don't think you're "good enough"? We have members at all levels - from beginners and people that haven't played for 40 years, to experienced and accomplished musicians.
Just not sure? Try us out. If after 3 weeks, it's not right for you, we will provide a full refund.
Don't have any musical experience at all? This program gives you an opportunity to learn in a supportive group setting. So all you need to do is try it!
Haven't played for years? This will provide you with an excellent opportunity to re-connect with your instrument or try out a new one. You'll be surprised how quickly it all comes back!
Have experience - will you be bored? No! We have music at all levels, and the goal is to have fun and provide everyone with an opportunity to learn new technique. Your experience will also provide opportunities to help others learn.
